What to look for in house wash before and after photos
Before and after photos are the easiest thing in this industry to fake and the most useful thing to get right. A wet wall always looks cleaner than a dry one, a different time of day changes everything, and a wide shot hides what a close one would show. Every pair on this page is the same property, the same angle and the same job.
When you are comparing quotes, look at the detail rather than the overall impression. Check the shaded south side of the house, where moss and mould take hold first and where a rushed clean shows immediately. Check the joins between weatherboards, the underside of the eaves and the window frames, because that is where growth sits and where a quick rinse leaves a tidemark behind.
Then look at what the paint is doing. High-pressure blasting will strip a chalky surface back and leave a patchy, stippled finish that photographs as clean and reads as damage in person. Soft washing lifts the organic growth and leaves the coating where it belongs, which is why the after shots below still look like painted houses rather than stripped ones.
Every job on this page was carried out to the ECIA Code of Practice, across Auckland and Northland. If you want to see results from a property like yours, ask and we will send more.
